
Pune: VK Group organized 'VK-Vidya Setu' workshop to foster closer ties between industry and academia. The event, themed "Pune—A City Within the Campus," was held to mark the 51st anniversary of the organization. The workshop aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical education and practical industry applications in the fields of architecture, construction, and environmental design.
At the workshop, Architect Hrishikesh Kulkarni, Managing Director of VK Group, highlighted the importance of practical exposure for architecture students. He emphasized that early adoption of technology and hands-on learning could help students develop into skilled architects capable of tackling real-world challenges.
More than 60 participants from 15 leading architecture and environmental colleges attended the event. The workshop was held at VK Group’s premises on Senapati Bapat Road and saw the presence of key industry figures, including Directors Anagha Paranjape-Purohit, Poorva Keskar, Apoorva Kulkarni, and Atulya Abe.

Students also proposed visionary urban design models for Pune’s future, while some participated in interactive discussions on sustainable urban planning.
Architect Hrishikesh Kulkarni urged research institutions to consolidate their findings and emphasized the need for comprehensive strategies to address urban challenges. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Apoorva Kulkarni, while Anagha Paranjape-Purohit and Athulya Aby provided key insights into the workshop's objectives and significance.
