Don't you expect a doctor to be a little intelligent and smarter than an average person? But looks like greed doesn't rest someone from being made a fool.

In a bizarre yet shocking turn of events, a doctor was duped out of Rs 2.5 crores in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on the pretence of being sold an Aladdin Ka Chirag. Yes, a man of science paid this amount for a magical lamp.

Two persons calling themselves as 'Tantriks' cheated a London-returned doctor of Rs 2.5 crore by selling him 'Aladdin Ka Chirag' assuring that it will fulfil all his dreams. The incident took place in the Khairnagar area under Brahmpuri police station in Meerut. The victim identified as Dr Laeek Khan approached the police against the fraudsters. According to a report in Navbharat Times, police have nabbed the two and recovered the Aladdin Ka Chirag'.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

Two years ago, a lady named Sameena visited the doctor as a patient. Soon, the doctor started regularly visiting her for dressing after her surgery. While informing the police, the doctor said that he met a Tantrik named Islamuddin at Sameena's place. The Tantrik made assurances about his mystical powers. Later, Islamuddin also promised to make him a billionaire.

After this, the Tantrik, along with his friend, informed the doctor about 'Aladdin Ka Chirag'. According to the doctor, the two fraudsters often made him see the 'Jinn' from the Chirag.

Each time the doctor questioned the two about taking the Chirag to his home, they scared him saying it will do bad things to him if he touched the lamp. Later, the doctor came to know that this Jinn was none other than Islamuddin, the husband of Sameena. The doctor said that he paid the money in instalments totalling the amount to Rs 2.5 crore.

The doctor later approached Meerut Superintendent of Police for help. Thankfully, the police have arrested two men, Islamuddin and his friend Anees, for alleged fraud. Hope the doctor gets his money back!
