The agreement came during India-Germany foreign office consultations held in Berlin on tuesday, co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Germany’s State Secretary Géza Andreas von Geyr. During the visit, Misri also met German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.

The talks reviewed the overall state of bilateral relations and explored new areas to strengthen the strategic partnership. Both sides also discussed major global developments, including the West Asia situation and the Russia-Ukraine war.

The discussions also emphasized diversifying engagement in emerging and critical technologies while reinforcing existing economic and strategic ties. During his visit, Misri met foreign policy experts, MPs, and senior German officials at the Körber Foundation.
