LDF released their manifesto, in which they promised pensions for housewives as well as a benchmark price for rubber.

Congress took a jibe at the manifesto released by the LDF, by calling their promises the biggest joke.

In 2019, the Vijayan government-appointed women drivers in government services an public sector undertakings. The decision was made to promote gender equality in all spheres. Kerala is one of the top safest states in India for women according to the Gender Vulnerability Index.

Among the other things that have been included is fixing of a benchmark price for rubber at Rs 250 per kg.

"We are aiming to see that Rs 10,000 crore of fresh investment comes into Kerala. Another feature is to provide an investment of Rs 60,000 crore in the infrastructure sector in the state and we plan to increase the number of MSME units from 1.6 lakh to 3 lakh," the LDF convenor said.
