West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday declared her net worth in an affidavit filed before the Election commission of India, reported PTI.

According to the affidavit, Banerjee has assets worth Rs 16.72 lakh. She doesn’t own any vehicle or property. The 66-year-old leader’s total movable assets are worth Rs 16.72 lakh. Banerjee’s total income for the year 2019-20 was Rs 10,34, 370.

The Chief Minister holds Rs 69,255 in cash while her total bank balance accounts for Rs 13.53 lakh, out of which the election expenditure account holds 1.51 lakh. TMC chief also has a deposit with the National Saving Certificate of Rs 18,490.

The affidavit showed that Banerjee owns nine grams of Jewellery worth Rs 43,837 and her tax deducted at source receivable is Rs 1.85 lakh in 20219-20. She also received a royalty of Rs 930 in 2019-20. She has several books to her credit.

Banerjee is contesting from the Nandigram constituency and filed her nomination papers on Wednesday, After filing her nomination papers, she was injured and claimed that she was attacked during the election campaign in Nandigram. She was released from the hospital on Friday.

The two-time Chief Minister is pitted against her former aide Suvendu Adhikary of BJP and Minakshi Mukherjee of CPI(M).

Voting will take place on April 1 and results will be declared on May 2.
