5-day Kisan exhibition at Moshi from Dec 12

Pune: India’s largest agricultural exhibition, ‘Kisan’ will see the participation of more than 600 companies under one roof and will be aimed at making farmers aware of innovative machines and process for agriculture. It will be held from December 12 to 16 at Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Moshi, near Bhosari.

The organisers are expecting over one lakh visitors for the five-day exhibition.

Kisan exhibition has special pavilions focusing on protected cultivation, water, agri input-tools, bio, energy, livestock and nursery to help farmers locate things of their interest and display of large farm machinery. At the exhibition, the farmers will see many, innovative farming technologies especially evolved for Indian agro-climatic conditions. A separate water pavilion will accommodate 100-plus exhibitors displaying various equipment and techniques for irrigation and water management.

Niranjan Deshpande, one of the organisers, said the international pavilion will have 50 exhibitors from China, Taiwan and Europe with small machinery suitable for small land holdings in India.

“They (companies) are here to look for Indian partners and representatives. This pavilion will be open for the first three days from December 12 to 14,” Deshpande further said.

“Around 50 companies are participating for the first time in the expo. This will be a good opportunity for Indian farmers to visit and experience innovations in diverse farming technologies,” added Deshpande.

Farmers can register with their mobile number. Kisan.net is a platform for people to get connected with each other and share knowledge and information through their channel.

Kisan Samvaad team will call and collect farmers’ details in advance to save their time at Kisan entrance. 5,000-plus farmers have already registered for Kisan 2018, to be held at Moshi.
