PUNE: Trying to bring all autorickshaw organisations under one roof and ensuring the maximum profit to them, Aam Admi Party (AAP) Pune city candidate in the forthcoming Assembly elections Ganesh Dhamale said that the party would introduce ‘Pooch-O app’ in the city if voted to power.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday in the city, Dhamale, a rickshaw driver himself, said “There is a need to reduce the gap between customers and rickshaw drivers. Residents prefer Ola and Uber because of higher fare as demanded by rickshaw drivers.” Dhamale, also the Vice-President of Seva Sarathi - an autorickshaw, taxi and transport union, said, “AAP has the solution to the problem of rickshaws and taxi drivers and many complaints are raised by the customers about higher fare charged by various transport providers.”

Besides streamlining rickshaw services and the fare charged, Dhamale, 38, also said, “From last five years, several issues in my constituency have been pending like water, traffic congestion and lack of health awareness. Considering the issues faced by slum areas, which was my constituency, I have decided to contest the elections.”

“As many as six slum areas are located in the Vadgaon Sheri constituency and these areas do not get regular water. Therefore, AAP will implement Delhi water-sharing model in the city, which was based on the water requirement of every person,” he added.
