A specialised joint training capsule involving the Indian Army and the CISF wrapped up on Sunday with a multi-agency drill. The exercise, held at the Military–Civil Fusion Node of Aundh Military Station in Pune, focused on joint response mechanisms and inter-agency coordination.
"The exercise demonstrated seamless inter-agency synergy, effective command and control, and coordinated execution of response actions across multiple domains. Senior officers from CISF and the Indian Army witnessed the exercise and commended the high standards of training, professionalism and coordination displayed by all participating agencies," a press statement from the Army read.
The program was designed to improve the readiness of CISF personnel as primary responders in dynamic and challenging security scenarios. The training emphasized Quick Reaction Team exercises, fundamental field and combat skills, shooting, and martial arts, equipping participants to handle security emergencies promptly and efficiently.
A comprehensive validation exercise, Exercise Ekta Shakti, was conducted as part of the training capsule to assess inter-agency coordination and joint response mechanisms. The exercise brought together multiple agencies to simulate real-life emergency scenarios and evaluate how effectively different units could work together under crisis conditions.

The training encompassed modules on Army Martial Arts Training Routine (AMAR), weapon handling, Quick Reaction Team (QRT) exercises, room intervention, survival training, and the operations of the Indian Army, with the goal of developing essential combat skills, improving situational awareness, and promoting operational synergy.
