Pune: Khopa Technologies, a city-based start-up has become an aggregator for the creation of housing for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) segment. Under this, their pilot project at Dhayari on Sinhagad Road will commence soon. This announcement was made at a press conference held in the city on Thursday.
“There was a huge gap in demand and supply of housing, especially in EWS-LIG-MIG segment. A scientific approach was required to study the problem. Our model gets land owners, developers, financial institutions, concerned governmental schemes and home buyers together based on the findings of a survey that had a sample size of over 12,000 individuals. This sample survey was conducted for residential areas like Hadapsar Solapur Road, Katraj–Kondhwa Road, Warje–Kothrud–Paud Road, Sinhagad Road, Aundh–Baner–Pashan and Nagar Road–Viman Nagar,” said Megh Gholap, co-founder, Khopa Technologies.
