Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has revised the micro containment zones in the city on Saturday (August 1). The civic body has released the revised list of these containment zones in which the number of total micro containment zones has been reduced to 69 from 87. The new list will soon be uploaded on the PMC website for citizens.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, on Friday (July 31) on his last day of service, had told media persons that as per the new strategy of the district and civic administration the size and number of containment zones will neither be too small or too big. Effective implementation of strict lockdown norms will define the size and number of containment zones in the city, Dr Mhaisekar had said.
