
Baramati: "Coronavirus outbreak is rising in Pune district as well as it is also witnessing alarming cases in Baramati taluka. There is a requirement of taking additional steps necessary to control the spread of coronavirus in the taluka, like increase the testing, ambulance management, hospital bed management and planning of doctors should be done through a computer system and no negligence will be tolerated in this work," said Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune District Ajit Pawar.
As Baramati constituency is home ground of the National Congress party supremo as well as one of the baston areas for Pawar's family.
Minister Pawar was taking at the review meeting held at the Water Resources Department rest house for coronavirus outbreak. The Zilla Parishad chairperson Pournima Taware, Additional Superintendent of Police Milind Mohite, Executive Engineer, Pune Irrigation Department Dhodpakar, Sub-Divisional Officer Dadasaheb Kamble, Municipal Council Chief Kiranraj Yadav, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Narayan Shirgaonkar, Medical College Superintendent Dr Tambe, Medical Superintendent of Silver Jubilee Hospital Dr Sadanand Kale, Taluka Health Officer Dr Manoj Khomane, Medical Superintendent of Rural Hospital Dr Sunil Darade, Group Development Officer Rahul Kalbhor, Senior Councilor Kiran Gujar of Sambhaji Holkar and others were present.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar discussed and heard about coronavirus prevention measures and patients currently undergoing treatment from senior medical officers. The administration is also trying to prevent coronavirus infection in rural areas, including the city of Baramati. Care must be taken to ensure that the cases do not increase under any circumstances. He also directed immediate arrest of coronavirus patients at a private hospital in Baramati. Pawar also said that all senior officials of the health department should work in coordination.
