Empress garden flower show starts from Jan 24

PUNE: The Agri-horticulture society of Western India is all set to organise the annual Empress Garden Flower Show and Garden Festival 2019, one of the largest and most unique flower exhibitions. This flower show will be held from January 24 to 27, 2019 in the beautiful premises of the Empress Botanical Gardens.

This announcement was made by Suresh Pingle and Anupama Barve of the flower exhibition committee at a press conference held at Patrakar Bhavan on Friday in the city.

The Empress Garden is a famous destination to study botany and tourism and considering this, the management organises various initiatives to attract visitors. This exhibition is one of the most pivotal initiatives by Empress Garden. 

“This year, major attractions are Japanese flower arrangements by Mona Pingle and Shashi Shetty and designs made by Mehek Foundation. Apart from this, Bonsai plants made by Sunita Shirke and Mangala Rao will also catch the eyeballs of visitors,” said Suresh Pingle during the conference.

“The popularity of this exhibition is increasing over the years, as people from Nashik, Kolhapur, Sangli, and Andhra Pradesh are coming in huge numbers,” he added.

The other major attractions are a magic show and puppet show for children. People from all parts of India are coming to participate in the flower exhibition. It is expected that there will be 200 varieties of flowers in this exhibition.
