Faculty Devp Programme organised at AIT

PUNE: More than 35 candidates from various colleges, research institutes and industries attended a three-day State level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organised by the Information Technology Department of Army Institute of Technology (AIT). 

The programme was on ‘Practical Approaches of Artificial Neural Network and Deep Learning’ at Alandi campus in Pune from December 17 to December 19, under quality improvement programme of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). 

This FDP was a major forum for the presentation of innovative ideas, approaches and development of research projects in the area of neural network and deep learning. 

Application of various learning algorithms were discussed through case studies and problem solving methods. 

The hands on sessions enhanced the understanding of these techniques. The FDP was organised for faculty and PhD students from all over Maharashtra associated with teaching and research in this field.

The Chief Patron of the FDP was Brig. Abhay Bhat (Retd), Director Army Institute of Technology (AIT) and BP Patil, Principal, Army Institute of Technology (AIT)The FDP was being convened by the Head of the Information Technology Department, Sangeeta Jadhav. Chief Guest Air Vice Marshal Vivek Rajhans, VSM presented the participants with the whole canvas of the usage of Artifical Intelligence (AI) in defence and other sectors. 

Other keynote speakers at the event were Rakesh Nakod, Pradeep Jogalebkar, Swati Shinde and Dwijay Bane.
