Pune, 5th March 2026: A tense situation unfolded at the MIT ADT University campus in Pune on Thursday when an angry father confronted a young man for allegedly harassing his daughter. The incident caused brief chaos on campus and has once again raised concerns about the safety of female students.
According to available information, the accused youth is a student of Dr. D. Y. Patil College and had allegedly been repeatedly sending messages to the girl on social media over the past few days. Troubled by the persistent messages, the student eventually informed her father about the issue.
After learning that the same youth had come to the university campus on Thursday, the father approached him and questioned his actions. During the confrontation, the father asked, "Why are you messaging my daughter and troubling her?"
The exchange soon turned into a heated argument between the two, which briefly escalated into a scuffle. The incident drew attention on the campus, creating a tense atmosphere for some time.
The family has also claimed that they had previously submitted a complaint to the university administration regarding the harassment. However, they allege that no concrete action was taken despite informing the authorities earlier.
