In Kolhapur, FDA officials raided Medtabs Pharma Pvt. Ltd. and found a large stock of allopathic medicines, including antibiotic injections. During the inspection, the company was unable to produce the required licenses and valid documents for the purchase, storage, and sale of the medicines. As a result, 29 varieties of drugs worth ₹13.62 lakh were seized for alleged violations of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.

The FDA has urged citizens to purchase medicines only from authorized and licensed sellers and to report any suspicious drug sales or illegal stockpiling to the authorities. It also advised pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors to strictly comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
