Flying from Delhi, Goa to Pune? Get tested for COVID at Lohegaon Airport for this price

Passengers travelling from Delhi, Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat need to have COVID negative report or need undergo RT-PCR test at Pune airport

Pune: The Maharashtra State government recently issued new guidelines for those travelling to Maharashtra from Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat via air, railway or roadways to carry COVID-negative test report.

Now passengers arriving at the Pune airport from the above mentioned states without a COVID-19 negative report after a RT-PCR test, will have to pay Rs 1,600 to conduct the test at Pune Airport, informed officials with the Airports Authority of India on Tuesday.

Pune Airport has made the testing facility available at the premises of the airport at the price of Rs 1,600. The authority said, “No cash transaction will be allowed, and the airport authority has requested to pay only via card or wallet.”

As per the guidelines delivered by the state government, the fliers will be permitted to go home by the airport operator only after undergoing the test. Their contact information and address will be collected to facilitate contact in case the test report comes positive. Those who test positive will be contacted and treated as per the existing protocol.
