Global India Business Forum to honour bizmen on May 11

PUNE: Global India Business Forum (GIBF) recently announced awards to businessmen for notable work in the field. The award ceremony will be held on May 11 at Hyatt, Viman Nagar. 

To promote international partnership, GIBF will felicitate 25 businessmen and industrialists with the award. Whirlpool, Finolex, Kesari and other industries would be awarded during the event.

Dr Jitendra Joshi, Global President of GIBF announced this at a press conference. He also said that the forum has helped many businessmen, embassies and industry ministries by connecting them and helping them to take business at the international level. 

Joshi said, “Various programmes like ‘Make in India’ and ‘skill development’ are creating lots of business opportunities for Indian companies abroad. In such a situation, GIBF acts as a common platform. This platform has tried to connect automobile, chemical, pharmaceuticals, electronics, heavy industries and service industries. Also, there are no boundaries for doing business and to join GIBF. It is working in 37 countries and has over 53,000 members. The global headquarter of GIBF is in Dubai while the head office is in New Delhi. The forum has a corporate office in Pune.”

GIBF has MDH Masala’s Chunilal, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, scientist Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Bollywood singer and composer Bappi Lahiri, and embassies of Italy, Bangladesh, Australia, Afghanistan, Hungary and few more countries as honorary members.

On the day of the award function, officers from Embassies of Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and other countries, Leela Poonawala, Zelum Chaubal and other eminent personalities would be present. In the morning session, a discussion on ‘tread beyond west’ will be held. Mangesh Kale of Pari Robotics, Ajay Sachdeva of HDFC housing loan, consul general of Ethiopia, Indonesia would be panellists for the discussion.

Nilesh Oswal, Coordinator of World Trade Center, said, “Many big companies seek services from small companies. GIBF has been acting as a bridge to connect these companies. We have connected to over 329 cities across the globe helping many in the global exchange programme. On July 31, over 20 members from Taiwan Trade Organisation will come to Pune and there will be one to one business tie-ups with GIBF.”
