Gravity 2020 launched at KJ Education Institute

PUNE: A 2-day annual national level poster and project competition ‘Gravity 2020’ organised by KJ College of Engineering and Management Research, Pune, was inaugurated by Vivek Chordiya at the college campus in Yewalewadi. 

The competition has been organised for the students of engineering colleges. 

The sixth edition of the competition saw the participation of students from across the country. 

“Many issues around us can be solved if we actuate the changing technology and combine it with research. This is the age of automation and the engineering students should be on the forefront to clutch on the opportunities in the automation field. They should also keep on experimenting for the benefit of society. Education with a scientific approach should reach everyone,” said Vivek Chordiya, Chief Executive Officer of ‘In2Things Automation’.

The event was graced with the presence of Kishor Shende, President of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (IETE), Vice President SK Khedkar, Pratap Dongre, Chief Executive Officer of Emnicon, Harshada Jadhav, Managing Director of KJ Educational Institute, Dr Vyasaraj Kakhandaki, Campus Director, Dr Suhas Khot, Principal and Chief Coordinator of Gravity 2020, Dr Nilesh Uke, Principal of Trinity Academy, Dr Bharat Shinde, Principal of Trinity College, Prof Pramod Chavhan, Coordinator of ‘Gravity 2020’. 

Pratap Dongre encouraged the students to acquire knowledge through innovative ideas while Deshmukh emphasised on the need for skill-based education.

Over 800 projects and posters and over 1,800 students from Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil branches will compete for top honours. Khot said that the objective behind organising ‘Gravity’ is to inspire the development of technical skills in students.
