Dual celebration held at Abhishek Int’l School
Pune: Abhishek International School celebrated Guru Pournima and World Nature Conservation Day on July 27.
The students thanked and worshiped their gurus, parents and grandparents along with their teachers on the occasion. Students also expressed their views about Guru Pournima.
On the same day, World Nature Conservation Day was also celebrated with an objective of increasing awareness about protecting natural resources.
The message of saving trees and natural resources was given through speeches, a rally and a street play by the students. Saplings were also planted in the school campus.
Former teachers honoured at Crescent High School
Pune: Guru Pournima was celebrated at Crescent High School and Junior College with great fervour.
The chief guest for the occasion was Dr Pradip Awate (doctor, writer, poet and dramatist).
The guests of honour for the day were Ganesh Joshi and Anagha Deval, former teachers at the school. Farha Daruwala went down the memory lane while remembering her good old school days.
Students showed their love and gratitude towards their Gurus or the teacher by giving them flowers and taking their blessings.
Students enthusiastic at Muktangan English School
Pune: The primary section of Muktangan English School celebrated Guru Pournima with great enthusiasm.
The information regarding the celebration of Guru Pournima was provided to the students during the school assembly. The students also spoke about their teachers.
Principal Utkarsha Keni, supervisors and a teachers’ representative along with some students offered flowers to the photo of Maharshi Vyas.
25 teachers felicitated at Novel Group of Institutes
Pune: “A guru is everything in our life, nothing is possible without a good teacher and thus we need to have gratitude towards our teachers and mentors,” said Founder President of Novel Group of Institutes Amit Gorkhe on the occasion of Guru Pournima.
Gorkhe also felicitated around 25 teachers. School trustee and corporator Anuradha Gorkhe and Principal Dr Kanchan Deshpande were also present.
During his speech, Gorkhe said visually impaired IAS officer Krishna Gopal Tiwari envisioned becoming an IAS officer in spite of being told that it was an impossible dream to achieve. It was his mentors who encouraged him to sail against the tide and achieve his dream. Today, he’s the first visually impaired IAS officer posted in Madhya Pradesh.
