Pune: Vidya Pratishthan’s Someshwar English Medium School (VPSEMS) celebrated Guru Pournima by organising different programmes on July 10. The programme commenced with ‘Granth Pujan’, led by the chief guest Umesh Shinde and Principal Sachin Pathak. Shinde, a member of Maharashtra state Yuva Warkari Sanghatana, was felicitated.
He thanked the school for fostering Indian culture and talked about the importance of a Guru. This was followed by ‘Padya Pujan’, in which the children honoured their parents by offering flowers. All school children and their parents attended the programme.
