Pune, 28 June 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the Ghat regions near Pune as heavy rainfall continues to lash the area. The alert remains in place for the next three days, signaling persistent intense showers. In contrast, Pune city is expected to see only light rain and mostly cloudy skies during the same period.

In the past few days, rainfall activity in Pune has reduced considerably. As a result, maximum temperatures have gradually risen. On Friday, June 27, Pune recorded a maximum temperature of 29°C and a minimum of 23°C. The IMD has forecast that these temperature levels will remain stable over the next three to four days, with a possibility of light to moderate rainfall.

For Saturday, June 28, the weather department predicts partly cloudy skies in Pune with a maximum temperature of 29°C and a minimum of 23°C. The conditions are expected to remain similar on Sunday, June 29, with the maximum temperature possibly touching 30°C due to marginal warming.

Though the city may not experience heavy downpours like the Ghat regions, residents are advised to stay alert, especially while travelling through hilly areas where rain intensity may lead to waterlogging or minor disruptions. The IMD continues to monitor the developments closely and will update advisories accordingly.
