Water entered some houses at Adinath Nagar, Balaji Nagar and Shanti Nagar in Bhosari, following heavy rains on Tuesday. Some of the residents spent the night on terraces while others had to shift elsewhere for the night.
Most goods, food grains and other items in the houses were washed away or destroyed in the flooded water. In some houses, the water level was as high as five feet.
Rainwater entered some houses located near Shivshakti Chowk and Hindi Vidyalaya in Adinath Nagar.
There is a nala in Panjarpol, Dhawade and Shanti Nagar. A wall constructed at the College of Military Engineering (CME) has blocked the smooth flow of the nala water. The blocked water on Tuesday night entered the local residential area, causing hardships to people.
A resident, Rajesh Khamkar, complained that the rainwater entered his shop, damaging food grains and other commodities. Jyotsna Udage, another resident, complained that the cash collected for paying the children’s school fees was washed away in the flood.
