Pune: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in collaboration with AGS Transact Technologies Limited (AGSTTL) have launched an app ‘HP Fastlane’ at 23 outlets of HPCL in the city on Thursday.
It is India’s first Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) payment solution for fuel.
This is the second launch after Mumbai, and at present, there are more than 120 HPCL outlets in Mumbai and Pune that have been enabled with HP Fastlane.
This app will enable the consumer with a mobile wallet for quicker payment and also reduce the risk of pilferage. It also enables the user to preset the fuelling amount on the application and ensures that meter reading is auto-set to zero so the user pays only for the fuel dispensed.
“This application is all about providing a better experience to consumers and it will help effective inventory management for both individuals and fleet owners as it allows multiple vehicles of one user,” said Satish Zope, Head, Petroleum Business at AGS Transact Technologies Ltd, during the launch.
“With technological support, we will enhance the customers experience and it will bring transparency and reliability as the customers will able to preset the fuelling amount themselves,” said Manish Agrawal, Deputy General Manager, Pune retail regional office, HPCL.
