PUNE, 12 MARCH 2026: Everyone’s favourite IKEA is finally here in Pune! The Swedish home furnishings giant opened its very first city store at Phoenix Mall, Viman Nagar, on 12 March. Covering 32,000 square feet, the store features over 1,900 products, with 1,700 available for immediate takeaway and an additional 4,500 items available to order.
Patrik Antoni, CEO of IKEA India, said opening the Pune city store strengthens IKEA’s presence in Maharashtra and continues its mission to improve everyday home life, calling the launch both proud and personal.

After six years of reaching Pune households through online deliveries and catering to 400,000 customers in the city, Ikea has gained insights into the essence of home life in Pune. The company observed that residents are opting for intelligent, versatile furniture, soothing natural hues, and sustainable designs that offer comfort while maintaining affordability.
Ikea India is expanding its footprint nationwide through a combination of large-format stores, city outlets, planning and ordering points, and online shopping. The company runs two distribution centers in India, located in Pune and Gurgaon. The Pune distribution center, which spans eight lakh square feet and was inaugurated in 2018, remains a crucial component of Ikea's operations in India, aiding in the supply and fulfillment of stores throughout the country.
