Developed by the Pune Police, the ICCC has been equipped with 2,646 AI-powered cameras installed at key locations across the city. These cameras are connected to the control centre and will operate round the clock, allowing authorities to monitor citywide movements in real time.

The system uses advanced AI technology to assist the police in facial recognition, vehicle number plate identification, crowd density analysis, and effective crowd management. The AI integration is expected to strengthen law and order and ensure quicker response to incidents.

As part of this project, five drone cameras and several modern patrol vehicles have also been provided to the Pune Police. These resources will be especially useful during public events, protests, religious processions, and crowded gatherings.

Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the new system will not only improve public security but also help in controlling crime more efficiently across the city.

This move marks a significant leap in smart policing for Pune, setting a precedent for urban safety infrastructure across the country.
