Pune, 3rd March 2026: In view of escalating tensions across parts of the West Asia, the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra have issued security advisories for Indian citizens residing in the region.

Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has appealed to residents to remain alert and stay connected with official authorities for any assistance.

The advisory covers Indian nationals living in Palestine (Ramallah), Qatar (Doha), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh), Israel (Tel Aviv), Iran (Tehran), Iraq (Baghdad), Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat in Oman, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates including Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Citizens have been asked to avoid unnecessary travel, strictly follow local administration guidelines, and remain in regular contact with Indian embassies.

Collector Dudi said citizens should not panic or believe in rumours and must rely only on verified information issued by government authorities. He added that in case of any emergency, individuals should immediately contact the respective Indian embassy’s 24×7 helpline.

He also informed that the district administration and state government are closely coordinating with the Central Government and Indian diplomatic missions to ensure the safety of citizens.

Meanwhile, the Pune district administration received information that 123 citizens from the district were stranded in Dubai between March 1 and 2. Officials successfully established telephonic contact with all of them, and they have been confirmed safe.

To assist citizens, contact details of Indian embassies in the affected countries have been released. Authorities have urged overseas residents from Maharashtra to stay calm, follow official advisories, and immediately seek embassy support if required.

Reiterating the appeal, Collector Dudi said, “Do not believe in rumours. Stay calm, follow official instructions, and contact authorities immediately if any assistance is required.”
