Pune: Katalyst, which is an initiative to provide skill development training to girls from lower-income communities and prepare them for leadership roles, organised a two-day event in the city.
As many as 300 girls from Pune, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru took part in the 10th Annual Convention of Katalyst, which ended on July 27.
The theme for the convention was ‘Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn’. The yearbook ‘winds of change’ 2019 was also launched during this annual convention.
This two-day convention comprised of team building activities and panel discussions.
As many as 12 Katalysts were also facilitated with annual Katalyst’s award.
Anjali Hari, Director - Fundraising of Katalyst, said, “We organise these annual conventions, as it gives the girls a platform to bond with Katalysts from other centres, as well as an opportunity to interact with leaders from several sectors through panel discussions and programmes.”
Anjali Hari, further added, “On the first day of this convention, we conducted team building sessions for the girls. These sessions helped them in interacting with girls from other centres as well.”
