

Pune: On Saturday as well, Pune experienced a hot first half, followed by rainfall in the afternoon along with thunder.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune, on Saturday, maximum recorded temperature was 31.2 degree Celsius and the minimum was 20.1 degrees Celius. Moreover, during the afternoon of Saturday, Pune reported 2.5 mm rainfall in Shivajinagar and 2.2 mm in Pashan. However, there was no rainfall in Lohegaon on Saturday.
As per the Met department, such weather phenomenon is likely to continue till Sunday.
For the State, IMD has further predicted heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra on October 6.
Moreover, thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is also very likely at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha on Sunday.
Across the country
As per an official statement by the IMD, dry weather is likely over parts of northwest India from October 7.
Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon is likely to commence from northwest India around October 11.
IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on October 6.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, West Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
