MSEDCL starts consumer campaign
Published on

Pune: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has started a new initiative to connect with consumers called ‘Consumer Connect Mission’, under which it has resolved around 7,521 out of 8,978 grievances in Pune region.

However, the pending 1,457 complaints have been resolved in a time-bound manner and the information is being processed to concerned power consumers, said a senior official.

The initiative was started after State Energy Minister Chandrashekar Bawankule interacted with the citizens.

He issued an order to MSEDCL officials to implement a consumer connect campaign on the same lines.

Sanjay Taksande, Regional Director, started to implement the campaign from July 11 to 19 in Pune region including Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Solapur. The campaign was meant to solve new complaints, change in name, address change, electricity charges, amendment of faulty or incorrect electricity bill, mitigation or burning meter, and electricity consumers gave it a big response.

“Power consumers expressed their satisfaction, as the process of revocation and acceptance of new applications and other applications was resolved on the ground,” said RN Kant, a senior official.

During this campaign Taksande, MG Shinde, Chief Engineer (Pune), Nagnath Irwadkar (Baramati) and Kishor Pardeshi (Kolhapur) also interacted with the electricity consumers. Along with this, other engineers, officers and employees also organised a Taluka and Sub-

Divisional Campaign and took the initiative to resolve the applications and complaints of consumers.
