Mundhwa police station gets ISO certification

Pune: The Mundhwa police station under Pune city police has got the honour of being the first ISO-certified police station in the district. Recently, the ISO 9001:2015 certificate was given to Mundhwa police station.

The certificate states: “This is to certify that the quality management system of Mundhwa police station has been assessed and found to conform to requirement of ISO 9001-2015 for maintaining law and order with available resources for making strong social 
policing.”

The certificate is valid for three years and reassements will be done in 2019 and 2020, to check whether they are complying with the norms.
The police station staffers took special efforts to fulfill all the required criteria of ISO, which are around 105.

Senior Police Inspector Anil Patrudkar, in charge of Mundhwa police station, said, “The ISO 9001:2015 certification is for quality management and control. In the case of police stations, it is seen how much satisfied persons coming to the police station for their complaints are.”

The certification was completed after the police station complied with 105 parameters related to infrastructure, practical working mobility, social policing check status, crime expose rate, document and record keeping, emergency response system and quality management system. 

Additional Commissioner of Police (Eastern Region) Sunil Phulari handed over the ISO certificate to senior PI Patrudkar and other staffs of Mundhwa police station in the presence of local residents, elected representatives. DCP (Zone 5) Prakash Gaikwad, ACP (Wanowrie division) Milind Patil, Dr Santosh Bhave, Senior Vice President - HR, IR and Admin at Bharat Forge Ltd, Abhijeet Shah, Vice President - IR & Admin at Bharat Forge Ltd, were also present on the occasion.

More police stations to be ISO certified: CP
“Excellent work has been done by Senior Inspector Anil Patrudkar and his team. This smart police station is a model for other police stations. Taking inspiration from smart initiatives from Mundhwa police station, we will try and make other police stations smart. This will be the main agenda for our 3rd TRM (Tuesday Review Meeting)”, Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham told Sakal Times.
