The award, conferred by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, recognises PMC's success in creating a more citizen-friendly digital ecosystem through the PMC 360 platform.

The initiative integrates a redesigned civic website, an online services portal, WhatsApp-based citizen services, and a simplified digital grievance redressal system. It also uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies to improve service delivery and administrative efficiency.

PMC's project was selected after a presentation before a national expert committee in New Delhi. The civic body said the initiative was developed under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, Additional Municipal Commissioners Pawneet Kaur, Prajit Nair, and Omprakash Divte as part of its broader digital transformation programme.
