Pune, 7th November 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will conduct a lottery on Tuesday, November 11, to determine reservation for 41 wards ahead of the upcoming civic elections. The process will take place at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch at 11 a.m.

The upcoming PMC election will elect 165 corporators from 41 wards. While the ward structure is already finalized, the draw will confirm which seats will be reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and women. Earlier, the draw was expected before Diwali, but the schedule was shifted to after the festival.

Half of the total seats, 83 of 165, will be reserved for women. Of the remaining, 22 seats will be reserved for SC, 2 for ST, and 44 for OBC candidates. The draw will decide the ward-wise distribution of these reserved categories.

The draft reservation list will be published on November 17. Citizens can submit objections and suggestions between November 17 and 24. After reviewing the feedback, the final reservation notification will be issued.

Objections must be filed physically at the PMC headquarters, the election office, or regional offices. Submissions made through the municipal website, email, or online channels will not be considered, clarified Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram.
