The civic action comes amid a wider crackdown on Motegaonkar-linked coaching centers in several districts across Maharashtra, including Latur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers staged a protest alleging that the coaching center in Pune was functioning illegally. Following the protest, PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram directed the civic building department to take immediate action.

According to PMC officials, RCC Motegaonkar Classes was operating across three floors of Borawake Towers on Jangli Maharaj Road. The premises were originally approved for residential use, but were allegedly being used commercially without permission. During inspection, officials also found unauthorized internal structural modifications inside the property.

Based on these findings, the PMC building department issued notices to the property owner and occupants under Section 268(1)(A) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act.

The notice states that commercial and office activities were being carried out without civic approval and that the first, second and third floors were being used illegally.

PMC officials further noted that the premises had been occupied even before obtaining the mandatory occupancy certificate. The civic body has now ordered the immediate closure of unauthorized activities and directed the occupants to vacate the property within one month.
