
Pune, 10th June 2025: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) has launched two new tourism bus routes to promote spiritual and heritage tourism in and around Pune. The new services Route 8 and Route 9 were officially flagged off on June 8, 2025, at the Deccan Bus Depot by PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Mrs. Deepa Mudhol-Munde.
These air-conditioned, eco-friendly buses aim to give passengers a comfortable travel experience while exploring important religious and cultural sites.
Route 8 will operate from Pune Station to Swargate, ISKCON Temple in Ravet, Morya Gosavi Temple in Chinchwad, Prati Shirdi, Dehu, and Bhandara Dongar.
Route 9 will run from Swargate to Paud, Hadshi (Saibaba Ashram), and Chinmaya Vibhooti at Kolwan.
The already running Route 6 covers Pune Station, Wagheshwar Temple, Wadebolhai, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Memorial, and Ranjangaon Ganpati.
The ticket fare is ₹500 per person. For group bookings, PMPML is offering 5 free tickets with every 33-passenger booking. A trained guide will be present on board to explain the significance of each place during the trip.
Passengers can book tickets at PMPML pass centers at Deccan, Swargate, Pune Station, Katraj, Hadapsar, Bhosari, Nigdi, and PMC Bhavan.
