PMRDA offers additional FSI landowners surrendering land

Pune: Besides giving additional Floor Space Index (FSI) to landowners surrendering their land to PMRDA for building roads and government housing schemes, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) will be extending other benefits to certain establishments in non-congested areas after they follow norms laid by the PMRDA.

As per PMRDA’s Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCPR), extra FSI can be extended in non-congested areas to people building public toilets, educational institutes, medical institutions, public banks, government offices, youth hostels, religious buildings, shelters for poor and housing schemes for backward classes of society, infrastructure development of information technology and information technology enabled services, biotech parks, and others.

As per the rule, additional FSI is permissible to existing authorised users subject to structural stability norms. Similarly, norms of water supply, drainage, sanitation, parking spaces and fire provisions have to be maintained as per the additional FSI. The maximum building potential limit will depend on road width and can be a maximum of 2.5 FSI.
