PMRDA starts regional office in Wadgaon Maval

Pune: To reduce the inconvenience caused to people, officials of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) on Monday, started a new regional office in Wadgaon Maval. The inauguration was done by Pune District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat at the Wadgaon Panchayat Samiti office. 

Speaking about the new regional office, Bapat said that Talegaon is a new development and industrial hub. “If Pune has to compete with Mumbai we need to make developments in Pune rural areas and PMRDA will have to take the lead in this. We are taking a small step towards development by setting up the PMRDA regional office in Wadgaon. PMRDA will assure all basic facilities of electricity, water, roads and drainage system,” added Bapat. 

PMRDA Chief Kiran Gitte said the new office will help in saving the travel time of people. PMRDA is planning to build a road from Jambhul to Sangvi, Kothurne to Malvandi and Saomatane Phata to Talegaon in Wadgaon Maval area. PMRDA has also started its regional office in Wagholi and is planning a few more new offices.
