Pune: A policeman has been booked for allegedly raping a woman and then blackmailing her with videos. 

Based on complaint from the 28-year-old woman, the FIR has been registered with Kondhwa police station for offences under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 363 (abduction), 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act. Police have also invoked sections of the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (Protection from atrocities) Act, after she alleged that the accused persons had used casteist remarks against her. 

According to the FIR, the incident took place during the last eight years at various places. “The policeman had given me sedative drugs and then raped me. He had also made video clips and then raped me on several occasions. He had also threatened to upload the video on porn websites. Then under the pretext of the settlement, he took money,” the woman alleged. 

Earlier, the woman, who is a fashion designer, and her husband, a chef based in Australia, had lodged cases against each other. He had accused the woman of hiding information about her first marriage and has also lodged extortion case against her. She had filed a case of harassment by in-laws and husband.
