After a weeklong disruption caused by IndiGo operations, which left air travel in Pune largely affected and inconvenienced countless passengers, the city airport has now successfully returned all previously “lost” baggage to their owners. Facility director Santosh Dhoke confirmed the update following an inspection by a Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) senior official on Tuesday.
The visit was aimed at reviewing the airport’s operations in the wake of recent service issues and ensuring that passenger facilitation was running smoothly.
During the inspection, the official assessed key touchpoints, including helpdesks, ticket counters, check-in areas, the Security Hold Area (SHA), and departure gates, while also interacting with travellers to gauge their experience.
Dhoke mentioned that during the inspection, all facilities were operating smoothly, with no congestion at any point.. "A detailed review meeting was convened with all stakeholders, including the CISF and airline representatives," he said.
According to sources, directives were issued to enhance resources and guarantee that passengers experience no difficulties related to infrastructure.
