Pune: The Maharashtra State Deputy Chief Minister and the Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday arrived at 6 am to inspect the work of Pune Metro.
Pawar is known for his precise planning of his time and Metro officials got a taste of his planning today morning.
Ajit Pawar visited the Pimpri-Chinchwad to Pune Metro at around 6 am on Friday and held a meeting with Metro Chief Officer Brijesh Dixit. After that, Ajit Pawar took the first metro ticket to Sant Tukaram Nagar and travelled by metro.
According to information, After arriving in Pimpri-Chinchwad in the morning, Minister Ajit Pawar held a meeting with Metro officers as well as with Brijesh Dixit who is heading the Pune Metro work. After the meeting, Ajit Pawar's convoy turned towards Sant Tukaram Nagar Metro Station to visit, probe and inspect on spot to check the ground reality.
After reviewing the Metro, the first Metro ticket was handed over to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He travelled by metro from Sant Tukaram Nagar to Pimpri based Kharalwadi spot which is around some five kilometres journey. Minister Ajit Pawar was inspecting the metro from the driver's cabin, while Brijesh Dixit was briefing him about the metro. A handful of police officers and Metro staff were present during the inspection tour.
Ajit Pawar also made some suggestions regarding Metro but declined to comment to the media about his tour experiences.
