Pune: Apart from the government, administrative authorities and police force, leading the fight against coronavirus are doctors, nurses, staffers, ward boys, pharmacists, laboratory assistants, cleaners. These warriors are working fearless, rendering their duty to COVID-19 patients round the clock. In an effort to laud their efforts, they have been awarded certificates by the Pune based Christian Navnirman Seva (CNS).
The medical staff working at the Pune based Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital administered under the Pune Cantonment Board in the camp area were facilitated and were given certificates from the CNS organization.
CNS founder Deepak Chakranarayan along with Pastor Robin Mahadkar of Shiloh Church, Treasurer Anand Salve, Rebecca Gore, Nilesh Naidu, Avinash Chakraborty, Visakha Rathore, and Nitesh Naidu volunteers were present on the occasion.
The Resident Medical Officer of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital and its team of doctors including Dr Vidyadhar Gaikwad, Dr Uday Bhujbal, Dr Bhaskar Ware, Dr Suchita Gandakush. Dr Kshirsagar, Dr Dalvi, and other staffers were honoured with a certificate titled "Corona Warriors".
The event keynote address was given by Avinash Chakraborty and vote of thanks was given by Nilesh Naidu.
Avinash said, "The hospital is coming under the containment area and unlike the other government hospital this hospital is the soul and working as a lifeline for many residents residing in cantonment limits and adjacent areas. Most of the patients are recovering from this hospital and it's our moral duty to appreciate their efforts that they are taking for pandemic patients in such a tough situation. This was a small attempt by us to pat their back and support them."
