Pune: Complete pending work at Jumbo COVID Centre within seven days, directs Health Minister Rajesh Tope

Pune: State Health Minister Rajesh Tope has informed the officials in the Pune city to complete the pending work of the Jumbo COVID Centre within seven days. The Health Minister has asked to build complete facilities such as oxygen beds, ICU units and more. Rajesh Tope who was in the city to review the COVID-19 situation visited the jumbo facility on Monday to check the operations and also conducted meeting with senior officials from the civic body and doctors.

The Health Minister visited the jumbo COVID centre constructed at College of Engineering Pune (COEP) in Shivajinagar as well as reviewed the situation at Baner COVID Hospital. Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao along with PMC commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner Rubal Agarwal, Health Department Director Dr Archana Patil and other senior officials were also present.

He directed to confirm the smooth flow of medicines and other required medical equipment while added to create awareness about the contagion via helpline number. Tope also informed to increase 400 beds at the COVID Centre at Shivajinagar. He also directed the officials of the COVID Centre to ensure good facilities to the patients and provide free medicines that will help to reduce the fatality rate.
