Pune, 25th May 2026: Man killed his wife by hitting her on head with a 5-kilogram gas cylinder in a domestic dispute over suspicion of her character. This shocking murder incident has surfaced from labour camp in the Yewalewadi.
According to preliminary information shared by police, the couple was residing in a labour camp set up at a construction site in Yewalewadi. The husband and wife reportedly got into a heated argument on the day of the incident, continuing a pattern of frequent quarrels between them.
During the fight, the accused allegedly lost control and picked up a gas cylinder kept inside the house before striking his wife on the head. The blow caused severe injuries, leading to her death on the spot.
Instead of fleeing after the murder, the accused directly approached the nearest police station and confessed to killing his wife. Police officials immediately took him into custody and began questioning him regarding the incident.
Police later reached the labour camp and found the woman lying in a pool of blood. Her body was sent for post-mortem examination, while the gas cylinder used in the attack was seized as evidence.
A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is currently underway. The incident has created fear and anger among workers staying in the labour camp and nearby residents.
