Pune, 9th July 2026: In a crackdown on repeat offenders, Pune Police have externed three habitual criminals from Pune city, Pune district, and Pimpri-Chinchwad for a period of two years as part of preventive measures to curb organised crime and maintain public order.

The externed accused have been identified as Sumeet Bhimrao Sitaparao (27), a resident of Nimbalkar Vasti in Gujarwadi, Katraj; Prithviraj Sanjay Kamble (23) from Santosh Nagar, Katraj; and Samarth Yogesh Kate (21), a resident of Dattanagar, Katraj.

According to police, all three have criminal records at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. They are accused in several serious offences involving crimes against individuals, along with cases related to the illegal sale of liquor.

Senior Police Inspector Mansing Patil submitted a proposal seeking externment of the accused through Assistant Commissioner of Police Rahul Aware to Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Mohite.

After reviewing the proposal, DCP Mohite ordered the externment of all three accused from Pune city, Pune district, and Pimpri-Chinchwad for two years with effect from July 7.

Police said the action has been taken to prevent the accused from engaging in further criminal activities and to strengthen law and order in the city.
