Pune, 9th April 2026: The district administration has announced that the second edition of the Pune Grand Tour, an international-level cycling competition, will be held from January 26 to January 31, 2027.

The event will begin on Republic Day and conclude on a Sunday, both public holiday, ensuring that citizens face minimal disruption.

District Collector Jitendra Dudi shared details of the event during a planning meeting focused on road infrastructure, traffic management, and route finalization. The administration has made key changes in the planning to ensure that the competition does not affect the daily lives of residents while allowing them to enjoy the event.

The six-stage race will pass through several prominent locations across the district, offering a mix of urban landscapes and scenic routes. The opening stage will begin from the International Convention Center in the Mulshi-Pradhikaran area and conclude at Hinjewadi, showcasing a blend of Pune’s IT hub and natural surroundings.

Other stages will connect Baramati to Saswad, Junnar to Rajgurunagar, Alandi to Lonavala-Khandala, Lonavala to Hinjewadi, and finally PCMC to Balgandharva Rangmandir.

The selected routes aim to highlight Pune district’s historical, religious, and natural heritage. Areas such as Sinhagad, Saswad, Junnar, Rajgurunagar, and the scenic ghats of Lonavala and Khandala are expected to add to the event’s appeal.
