Pune, 20 February 2026: A young boy was attacked by stray dogs on Friday morning at Chaitrangan Society in Kirkatwadi. The incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras, has triggered concern among local residents over the rising menace of stray dogs in the area.

According to residents, the child was playing near the society premises when a group of stray dogs suddenly chased and attacked him. The situation could have turned serious, but a young man from the locality quickly rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion and managed to rescue the boy in time.

Eyewitnesses said the child narrowly escaped major injuries. “If help had not arrived on time, the dogs could have seriously harmed the boy,” a resident said. The child is reported to be safe.
