Under the ambitious ‘Nyaya Aplya Dari’ (Justice at Your Doorstep) initiative, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Pune, has launched a special mobile van for a Travelling Lok Adalat. The van was flagged off on Thursday at the District and Sessions Court, Shivajinagar, Pune, with the goal of delivering justice directly to citizens in both urban and rural parts of the district.

From June 12, 2025, the mobile van began operating in Pune city, covering areas under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), and the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB). In its next phase, starting June 23, 2025, it will travel through all 11 talukas of Pune district to reach more communities.

The mobile van provides free legal advice, quick dispute resolution, on-the-spot settlements through Lok Adalat, and information about various government schemes and counseling services. Retired judges, panel lawyers, para-legal volunteers (PLVs), and legal advisors from different talukas contribute their expertise and support to this initiative.

In addition to handling legal cases, the van organizes legal aid camps and public awareness sessions at different locations. The core objective is to make justice accessible to people in remote and rural areas, especially for those facing barriers in approaching courts due to social, economic, or geographical challenges.

The campaign involves the active participation of district and sessions judges, government and private lawyers, panel members, PLVs, and DLSA staff across Pune district.
