There is a continuous rise in the spread of the novel coronavirus in Pune. The total cases stand at over 8,000 in Pune with 22 record deaths reported on Tuesday and over 300 new cases registered.
Shekhar Gaikwad, The Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner on Tuesday, declared 27 areas omitted from the earlier list of 65 containment zones and new 28 areas were included to the containment list. Pune now has a total of 66 containment zones.
Meanwhile, after the state government issued the advisory for the fifth phase of the lockdown, the Pune police have condensed the night curfew which was earlier at 7pm-7am to 9pm-5am in the city.
As per the new order, no individual will be allowed to travel between these hours.
