Pune, 5th June 2026: A major traffic disruption was reported on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway on Friday morning after a heavy vehicle broke down near Bavdhan.
The incident led to severe congestion on the Satara-bound carriageway, causing traffic to come to a near standstill. Vehicles were stranded for long stretches as the traffic queue extended from Punawale to Bavdhan, covering a distance of nearly 10 kilometers.
Commuters faced significant delays during the morning hours as traffic movement slowed drastically along the busy highway corridor. The breakdown created a bottleneck, affecting hundreds of vehicles travelling towards Satara and other destinations along the route.
Traffic police personnel were deployed at the spot and worked continuously to regulate vehicle movement and ease congestion. Efforts were underway to clear the stranded vehicle and restore normal traffic flow on the highway.
