Under the revised fare structure, passengers will now have to pay ₹30 for the first 1.5 kilometres, compared to the existing ₹25. The base fare has been increased by ₹5.

The fare for every additional kilometre has also been revised. After the initial 1.5 km, passengers will now be charged ₹20 per kilometre, up from the current ₹17.

The fare revision comes after auto rickshaw unions repeatedly sought an increase, citing rising fuel prices and higher vehicle maintenance costs. The revised rates are expected to provide financial relief to thousands of auto rickshaw drivers operating in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The revised fare structure will come into effect across both cities from September 1. Passengers are advised to check the updated fare chart before beginning their journey, as the increase is expected to raise daily commuting expenses while helping drivers offset higher operating costs.
