Pune: Plan your next trip to Sinhagad Fort as MTDC to set up resort for tourists

Pune: Kondana Fort widely known as Sinhagad Fort is a pride of Pune. The fort which witnessed the significant battle in 1671 is considered as one of the famous tourist spots in Pune. Every weekend, thousands of people flock to the fort to witness its enchanting beauty. Now, what if we tell you that Pune’s Sinhagad Fort will now have a resort for tourists? Yes. You read it right.

Maharashtra Tourism Development Centre (MTDC) is planning to set up a resort here. The resort cater service for all tourists including trekkers. The service facility which was closed from the last two years will be opened next month. The facility which was shut for the last two and half years will finally be open to the public in February. According to reports, the place has a capacity of 25 beds along with five private rooms and two dormitories.

An official from the MTDC said that the resort will be opened in February as the work was halted due to COVID-19 pandemic and also the fort was closed. Also, the authorities are planning to begin multiple activities. It has also planned to construct a museum and an amphitheatre.

The fortress which has an elevation of around 1312 metre above the sea level has many small points to visit. Kalyan Darwaza, Amruteshwar Temple Tilak Bungalow, Pune Darwaza, Hawa Point, Kade Lot, Tanaji Malusare Samadhi to name a few are famous points here.
